After a defensive mix-up in San Marco FC's zone, Claudio Urtats stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Seguinus came out of the goal and Claudio Urtats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luiz Fabiani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, San Marco FC's Samuel Ortle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonidas Bourboulithras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Claudio Urtats's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Tobias Seguinus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudio Urtats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Tobias Seguinus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Club Atletico Ipona's Tobias Seguinus threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Fabiani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Claudio Urtats in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tobias Seguinus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Efrain Pietro's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Ipona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Pietro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to San Marco FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Efrain Pietro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, San Marco FC's Maximino Froila got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Claudio Urtats's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tobias Seguinus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Club Atletico Ipona's Luiz Fabiani got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Urtats to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Claudio Urtats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Ipona's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Urtats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Seguinus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tobias Seguinus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Severo Eduino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Urtats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Seguinus having to interfere. Tobias Seguinus came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Ipona's Claudio Urtats. But to his dismay, Claudio Urtats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 66 minutes into the match, San Marco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Urtats came free, but Tobias Seguinus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the San Marco FC defense, Luiz Fabiani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Seguinus. The San Marco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Seguinus should have stopped the shot. Tobias Seguinus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Urtats's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Claudio Urtats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fabiani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tobias Seguinus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Severo Eduino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Marco FC and the Club Atletico Ipona players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Atletico Ipona booed when San Marco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Eduino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Claudio Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Urtats, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Club Atletico Ipona players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
