Samuel Enetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiani in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fabiani to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Apolo Beturian during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Club Atletico Ipona's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Enetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Abella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Ipona's Luiz Fabiani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Enetz. That made the score 2-2 after 82 minutes of play. In the 87th minute Americo Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonidas Bourboulithras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Palmitas booed when Club Atletico Ipona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonidas Bourboulithras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Cortez in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Club Atletico Ipona failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
