In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Marco FC's goalkeeper Tobias Seguinus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, San Marco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Abalos to maneuver through the defense. When Anastasio Abalos fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Marco FC's protests and gave Anastasio Abalos a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes San Marco FC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Abalos. Vicente Ramone kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Darien couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Carlos Darien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monroe AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Darien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Seguinus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Ortle made a kick off. Carlos Darien was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. Monroe AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Carlos Darien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Monroe AFC booed when San Marco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Samuel Ortle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Carlos Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Seguinus having to interfere. Monroe AFC's Fidel Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Ortle in the 93rd minute of play.
