Omar Mendebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Maiorga in the 5th minute of play. Silverio Jaunzuria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Maiorga took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavio Ihintza. Octavio Ihintza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tomás Rameriz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Omar Mendebal struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Melchor Lizer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN MIGUEL. A collision led to SAN MIGUEL getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Omar Mendebal hit a great ball. With his leg Melchor Lizer managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when SAN MIGUEL's Omar Mendebal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, SAN MIGUEL's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Lidon came free, but Octavio Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Mendebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeledon Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Silverio Jaunzuria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Omar Mendebal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melchor Lizer. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Mendebal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silverio Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Lizer having to interfere. SAN MIGUEL's Omar Mendebal got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Silverio Jaunzuria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melchor Lizer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Omar Mendebal's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 69th match minute, SAN MIGUEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Argider to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, Leonel Oier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RC Celta de Vigo and the SAN MIGUEL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Mendebal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Lizer having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the SAN MIGUEL players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
