To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Eustacio Crispo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Abarca. Laguneros S.D's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Crispo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Laguneros S.D's Ruben Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Crispo in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, one of Viejo Tom:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Viejo Tom:s Santos Bingen showed great skill when he stopped Jose Bernaldo:s penalty. In the 29th match minute, Laguneros S.D was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Raulo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Raulo in the 33rd minute of play forced Viejo Tom's goalkeeper Santos Bingen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Mariano Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
