The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 12 minutes, Albino Lauaxeta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Funes City and the Removalist CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Funes City's Albino Lauaxeta got a free kick in the 12th minute. Placido Telo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Claus's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Placido Telo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Telo having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Guido Lazcano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Placido Telo. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Removalist CF's goalkeeper Placido Telo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Guido Lazcano came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the FC Funes City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Lazcano couldn't finish the play. Placido Telo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Kléberson Dantas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Funes City's Freddy Baladi. Freddy Baladi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Removalist CF's goalkeeper Placido Telo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Lazcano. Guido Lazcanos short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Placido Telo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Albino Lauaxeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Telo having to interfere. Removalist CF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Honorato Claus 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléberson Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guido Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Removalist CF's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Lazcano came free, but Placido Telo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guido Lazcano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Placido Telo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guido Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Claus in the 62nd minute of play forced Removalist CF's goalkeeper Placido Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Derwin's late challenge caught a Removalist CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Derwin helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in FC Funes City's zone, Erubiel Aresti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Baladi came out of the goal and Erubiel Aresti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 66th minute of the match Faustino Derwin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Faustino Derwin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Guido Lazcano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Placido Telo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristo Bortzaioriz charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristo Bortzaioriz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristo Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
