Samuel Dolfo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvear. When Alvear's Sixto Valerio in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CHICAGO's goalie prevented a goal. When Lucas Loi fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CHICAGO's protests and gave Lucas Loi a yellow card for diving instead. Lucas Loi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Samuel Dolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Richie in the 13th minute of the match. Cleto Santiago took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabricio Iratzeder. Fabricio Iratzeder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Guerrero to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, one of CHICAGO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CHICAGO. Samuel Dolfo came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Alvear's Tobias Guerrero. But to his dismay, Tobias Guerrero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Sixto Valerio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Samuel Dolfo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute of the match, Romulo Segio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabricio Iratzeder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute, Celso Dalmau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Alvear booed when CHICAGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Segio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Richie, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Celso Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Dolfo having to interfere. After the first half Alvear were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sixto Valerio made the kick off in the second half. Cleto Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romulo Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Iratzeder having to interfere. If Romulo Segio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cleto Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHICAGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tobias Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, CHICAGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Loi to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Segio came free, but Fabricio Iratzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Edelmiro Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Dolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 76 minutes CHICAGO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edelmiro Richie who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Tadeo Escobar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 79 minutes, Edelmiro Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvear's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Richie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Dolfo made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Sixto Valerio sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, CHICAGO's Samuel Dolfo got control of the ball when Edelmiro Richie tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sixto Valerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel Dolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobias Guerrero in the 92nd minute. CHICAGO's Samuel Dolfo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save CHICAGO from getting a goal against them. Alvear played a much better game than CHICAGO and deserved their victory. The CHICAGO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
