The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnoldo Jordy hit a great ball. Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Gudesteo in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ciriaco Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes Universidad Buenos Aires's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alejandro Rito who took care of the corner kick. Victorino Mons short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Clemente Cerilo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alfonso Ekain struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Clemente Cerilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universidad Buenos Aires. If Victorino Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Donato Quirze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Universidad Buenos Aires reached it. But to his dismay, Alfonso Ekain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Ekain in the 94th minute of play forced Club Atletico Ona Titan's goalkeeper Clemente Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Mon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Cerilo having to interfere. Universidad Buenos Aires walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
