Spectators: 7402 (Terracing: 5552, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nunez Padro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Nunez Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Angel Lon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Lon having to interfere. If Ciriaco Baumer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Peter in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gualterio Calixto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmberg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Luminosos the free kick. Gualterio Calixto hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Miguel Bento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Angel Lon made a huge save. Los Luminosos's Angel Lon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Luminosos from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Los Luminosos's Angel Lon got control of the ball when Miguel Bento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnulfo Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Calixto in the 26th minute of play. Teobaldo Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Gualterio Calixto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los Luminosos's Angel Lon didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Los Luminosos's Angel Lon got control of the ball when Miguel Bento tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Holmberg FC booed when Los Luminosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Haitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Holmberg FC's Ciriaco Baumer made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Lon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Calixto charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso Calixto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Los Luminosos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alfonso Calixto hit a great ball. Holmberg FC's Miguel Bento got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miguel Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciriaco Baumer was the one to do the kick off. Arnulfo Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Calixto in the 52nd minute. If Ciriaco Baumer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Padro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Nuñez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Alfonso Calixto took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Nuñez. Arnulfo Nuñez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 81 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Baumer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Los Luminosos's Angel Lon. Angel Lon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angel Lon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Pirmin's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Holmberg FC's Jacobo Sal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jacobo Sal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Holmberg FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jacobo Sal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 92nd minute, one of Holmberg FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holmberg FC. Arnulfo Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Peter in the 98th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Luminosos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Holmberg FC.
