Fairy Tail's Adan Hibai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Calixto in the 13th minute of play. Holmberg FC were furious when Higinio Ranolfo was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Holmberg FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fairy Tail:s goal. The referee gave Fairy Tail a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Meder, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Holmberg FC's Arnulfo Nuñez. 1-0. Ciriaco Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Hibai having to interfere. Gregorio Salvidor scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adan Hibai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Baumer in the 31st minute of play forced Fairy Tail's goalkeeper Adan Hibai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ciriaco Baumer came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Holmberg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Baumer couldn't finish the play. When Conrado Marino fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fairy Tail's protests and gave Conrado Marino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fairy Tail's Conrado Marino got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute, Ciriaco Baumer made a precise shot to the right of Adan Hibai. Fairy Tail's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Arnulfo Nuñez came out of the goal and Ruben Amor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciriaco Baumer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adan Hibai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Ciriaco Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Hibai having to interfere. Arnulfo Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Gregorio Salvidor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciriaco Baumer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Holmberg FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Miguel Bento fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holmberg FC's protests and gave Miguel Bento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Holmberg FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Miguel Bento hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Fairy Tail's Guaberto Firmin in action when he in the 81st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Ciriaco Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Fairy Tail's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Baumer came free, but Adan Hibai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes Fairy Tail got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Firmin. Ciriaco Baumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Adan Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Holmberg FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holmberg FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
