Sebastian Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Katia in the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Sebastian Raymundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Mincho. 13 minutes into the match, Gaspar Cuartio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Mergildo. Eagleheart FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Cuartio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 16th minute of the match Artemio Lluterio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Mergildo skillfully saved the ball. In the 18th minute Isaias Luken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Cuartio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Adrian Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Godoy Cruz fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Godoy Cruz's Evaristo Chesus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Saul Cordaro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastian Raymundo. That made the score 1-3 in the 27 minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Isaias Luken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Godoy Cruz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eagleheart FC the free kick. In the 30th minute, Isaias Luken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Godoy Cruz's Isaias Luken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Mergildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Saul Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eagleheart FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Cordaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Raymundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Eagleheart FC's zone, Victorino Koldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Mergildo came out of the goal and Victorino Koldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eagleheart FC's Dante Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Chesus in the 43rd minute of play. Dante Mergildo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Godoy Cruz's Isaias Luken. But to his dismay, Isaias Luken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaias Luken to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Isaias Luken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Dante Mergildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luciano Sauveur kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Godoy Cruz's Evaristo Chesus got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Raymundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Mincho in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Katia in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Raymundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eagleheart FC's Dante Mergildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Eagleheart FC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Isaias Luken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Godoy Cruz booed when Eagleheart FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Godoy Cruz's Dante Mergildo threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaspar Cuartio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 74 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Macario came free, but Sebastian Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Eagleheart FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Baltasar Goi hit a great ball. Dante Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Luken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Isaias Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Isaias Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godoy Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Mergildo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Evaristo Chesus sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Godoy Cruz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
