Elvio Shantala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute of the match Olimpo FC got a corner. Soy del barrio de la Boca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnoldo Montrelle ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Arnoldo Montrelle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elvio Shantala quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 17th match minute, Soy del barrio de la Boca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Fernanco to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Olimpo FC's Arnoldo Montrelle tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elvio Shantala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Montrelle's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Fortun in the 22nd minute of play forced Olimpo FC's goalkeeper Gavino Kaxen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnoldo Montrelle's late challenge caught a Soy del barrio de la Boca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Montrelle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Olimpo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Montrelle to maneuver through the defense. Olimpo FC's Gavino Kaxen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Fortun in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Everardo Fortun notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Olimpo FC's Gavino Kaxen. Gavino Kaxen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnoldo Montrelle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Elvio Shantala made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Incendio got free with Elvio Shantala in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Everardo Fortun was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Soy del barrio de la Boca's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Montrelle came free, but Elvio Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Olimpo FC's protests and gave Jeronimo Incendio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Olimpo FC's Jeronimo Incendio got a free kick in the 78th minute.
