The audience was convinced that Abelardo Amaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidro Leguizamón was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Delmiro Francesco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Leguizamón. Almagro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Francesco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Isidro Leguizamón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Almagro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
