Jordão Palhares came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres lo mas's Abelardo Amaya. But to his dismay, Abelardo Amaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jordão Palhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Amaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Iacob Călin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of Talleres lo mas booed when Churqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Călin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Talleres lo mas got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Bazil. After a defensive mix-up in Churqui's zone, Gavino Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordão Palhares came out of the goal and Gavino Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Abelardo Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordão Palhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Talleres lo mas's Delmiro Francesco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jordão Palhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 94 minutes into the game, Facundo Berrios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Jordão Palhares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Talleres lo mas fully deserved thier win.
