Luciano Guillem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benedicto Ortle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Gartzi having to interfere. In the 40th minute Elvio Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ceferino Gartzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ceferino Gartzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Ortle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Orlondon during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 67 minutes into the match, Benedicto Ortle notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of la12's Ceferino Gartzi. With a little luck, Kaizer Chiefs F.C's Benicio Weterio got control of the ball when Lino Montae tried to sneak it across the goal line.
