Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Hector Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaizer Chiefs F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Jerano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filiberto Guillelmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Deunoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Filiberto Guillelmo made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Hector Jerano sent off a good shot on target. After 44 minutes of play, Kaizer Chiefs F.C's Teofilo Jokin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filiberto Guillelmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Jokin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benicio Weterio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Unai's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Benito Chap took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Weterio. Benicio Weterio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 94th minute of the match Candido Hitz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benicio Weterio skillfully saved the ball. Real Rosario's Filiberto Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Deunoro in the 95th minute of play.
