A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Guaberto Orlondon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. la12's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Pibe De Los Astilleros the free kick. 25 minutes into the match, El Pibe De Los Astilleros's goalkeeper Arnulfo Intxixu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Montae. When Lino Montae fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored la12's protests and gave Lino Montae a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El Pibe De Los Astilleros booed when la12 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Montae didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arturo Inko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Medina in the 32nd minute of the match. Lino Montae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Intxixu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Inko got free with Ceferino Gartzi in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guaberto Orlondon was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 76 minutes of play, la12's Lino Montae made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnulfo Intxixu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Lino Montae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Santo Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. la12's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Guerrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Inko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ceferino Gartzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Arturo Inko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ceferino Gartzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. la12 had played much better football throughout.
