Eloy Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lafinur's Eloy Goyo got control of the ball when Lázaro Veremundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Beila in the 21st minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Eleuterio Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Luciano Aguilera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 played minutes Lafinur got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Natanael. Luciano Aguilera took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Goyo. Eloy Goyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lázaro Veremundo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lisandro Leheren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Lorenz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Luciano Aguilera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Luciano Aguilera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andres Soter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Rene Mitxaut nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Goyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 70th minute Luciano Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Goyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Veremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Goyo having to interfere. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lafinur's goalkeeper Eloy Goyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Quinito in the 82nd minute of play forced Lafinur's goalkeeper Eloy Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Andres Soter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Goyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Eloy Goyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Aguilera in the 92nd minute of the match. Boca Juniors's Andres Soter got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Luciano Aguilera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Aguilera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Goyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boca Juniors were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lafinur to leave the ground with a draw.
