Hilario Roderigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Hugo Columbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Románticos FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gualterio Gines hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Románticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Quentin came free, but Hugo Columbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Románticos FC's Hugo Columbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Roderigo in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Güemes FC booed when Románticos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Balasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hilario Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Elodio charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casimiro Elodio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Casimiro Elodio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Elodio to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Románticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Licerio came free, but Hugo Columbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Columbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Arnaldo Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Columbo having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Hilario Roderigo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Columbo. Hilario Roderigo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 78th minute of the match, Arnaldo Licerio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugo Columbo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Güemes FC's Arnaldo Licerio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute of the match, Hilario Roderigo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hugo Columbo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 86th minute, Eriberto Behe made a precise shot to the right of Wilfredo Montrelle. Güemes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 90 minutes into the match, Güemes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Behe came free, but Wilfredo Montrelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Roderigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Columbo having to make a save. Horacio Resto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Columbo having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Románticos FC could leave the field as winners, despite Güemes FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
