If Miguel Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Amparo Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Pelagius. Miguel Grabiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Lugo having to interfere. Amadeo Deunoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Miguel Grabiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Grabiel struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Isaias Lugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amparo Victoria. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER PLATE's zone, Amadeo Deunoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Lugo came out of the goal and Amadeo Deunoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Ortle charged in rather forcefully in the 49th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Ortle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 49 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for RIVER PLATE! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ambrosio Firman made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Eustaquio Nesor got a free kick in the 62nd minute. RIVER PLATE's Isaias Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Grabiel in the 63rd minute of play. Amadeo Deunoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Lugo having to interfere. Denis Rio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Firman, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ildefonso Guillelmo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeo Deunoro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position.
