In the 10th minute, Nestor Jokin made a precise shot to the right of José Luis Chilavert. Boca Juniors Querido's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Halland in the 14th minute of play forced Diana's goalkeeper Celso Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Jokin got free with José Luis Chilavert in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Yusuf Halland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors Querido's supporters rose to their feet, but Yusuf Halland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Gaufred breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Halland in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Nestor Jokin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Jokin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Diana's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Argina came free, but Celso Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Steve Hyuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Jokin was the one to do the kick off. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Diana booed when Boca Juniors Querido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Eusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gabriel Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors Querido's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Gaufred breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Yusuf Halland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Celso Gaufred tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Nestor Jokin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Luis Chilavert was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute of the match Bruno Abascal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Luis Chilavert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 71st match minute, Boca Juniors Querido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. Carmelo Perfecto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Luis Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Nestor Jokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Jokin in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Luis Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boca Juniors Querido's Camilo Escobar got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Camilo Escobar off the ground. José Luis Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Jokin in the 78th minute of play. If Steve Hyuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Joel Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diana and the Boca Juniors Querido players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yusuf Halland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Gaufred having to make a save. Boca Juniors Querido were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Diana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eulalio Argina took the corner. Celso Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Halland in the 93rd minute of the match. Boca Juniors Querido's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Jokin in the 97th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Diana were victorious despite being under pressure from Boca Juniors Querido for much of the match.
