Spectators: 7423 (Terracing: 5568, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Atilano Chap kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Atilano Chap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Chap in the 12th minute of play forced Il Catenaccio's goalkeeper Justo Jeraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilano Chap in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justo Jeraldo saved Il Catenaccio from getting behind. Atilano Chap's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justo Jeraldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Justo Jeraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Chap in the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Gabriel Gentza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Guillem came out of the goal and Gabriel Gentza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Il Catenaccio's Justo Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Chap in the 38th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Gentza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Belgrano's Daniel Cheche got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Atilano Chap's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justo Jeraldo was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Gabriel Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Atilano Chap dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Justo Jeraldo, 0-1. Il Catenaccio's attentive Ceferino Baldovino managed to snatch the ball when Vicente Pereyra made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Gabriel Gentza sped through Belgrano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristo Guillem. Gabriel Gentza hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Belgrano's Conrado Oidor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Justo Jeraldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute, Atilano Chap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Belgrano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belgrano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
