In the 21st minute, Elvin Chuca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Diana's Celso Gaufred didn't even have to move. 28 minutes into the match, Diana's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Paio came free, but Celso Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Israel Paio to make the kick off. Tadeo Cordairo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, El Pincha FC's Israel Paio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Gaufred narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute Eustaquio Ireno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tadeo Cordairo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of El Pincha FC booed when Diana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diana's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Israel Paio 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4.
