In the 18th minute Pastor Rami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Corderro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haedo FC's Bartolo Nel got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Jonathan Tino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Abadie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 27 played minutes Haedo FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Caradaro. Jonathan Tino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes of play Haedo FC's Isidro Palos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Isidro Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Haedo FC's zone, Rodrigo Fernendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Corderro came out of the goal and Rodrigo Fernendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Rami to make the kick off. Sergio Cordarryl kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pastor Rami struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Humberto Corderro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aldosivi FC. In the 94th minute, Hector Ferdinand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haedo FC's Vinicio Pueblo was substituted for Vicente Caradaro. Vinicio Pueblo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Haedo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Haedo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
