Dep.Cristal's Candido Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Ordono in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dep.Cristal's Tomas Manny got a free kick in the 13th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Dep.Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Aguirre came free, but Candido Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Dep.Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Placido Diagur. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Aguirre in the 32nd minute of play forced Dep.Cristal's goalkeeper Candido Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, F C LASTIMA's Candido Burni threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rolando Aguirre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Placido Diagur was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. Placido Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Rolando Aguirre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Candido Burni made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 63rd match minute, F C LASTIMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Celio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dep.Cristal's zone, Geronimo Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Burni came out of the goal and Geronimo Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes, Rafael Celio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F C LASTIMA and the Dep.Cristal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dep.Cristal booed when F C LASTIMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Celio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Ordono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Dep.Cristal getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Faustino Rainerio hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Dep.Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Rainerio. If Geronimo Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Candido Burni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Maju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Burni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Aguirre in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Aguirre in the 95th minute of play forced Dep.Cristal's goalkeeper Candido Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
