The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes OPERYS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Irrintzi. Feliberto Arias struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Justino Derwin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maggolo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Virila in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Derwin saved OPERYS F.C from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Alfonso Virila put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Justino Derwin. Jonatan Lander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Munio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Derwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Txerran in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Leonides Munio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Lander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Prudencio Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Lander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes Maggolo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vicente Bingen who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Maggolo's Florentino Francho got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Vinicio Perico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Lander. Maggolo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Perico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliberto Arias made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Eusko during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes Maggolo got a freekick which was hit by Siro Eusko. 69 minutes into the game, OPERYS F.C's Vicente Bingen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Lander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Jonatan Lander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Bingen in the 72nd minute of play. OPERYS F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
