Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celestino Camerino kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Celestino Camerino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Hodei. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Cornelio Piorno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Anibal Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 13 in the game by Erasmo Argenis from a close distance when the talented Hector Hodei managed to make a qualified save. Hongo FC's players were relieved. Erasmo Argenis in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hector Hodei, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 18th minute Celestino Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Hodei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Argenis got free with Hector Hodei in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 minutes, Celso Etor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corrientes and the Hongo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celso Etor got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Corrientes getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Celso Etor hit a great ball. Clemente Esquipula was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Corrientes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Camerino to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Esquipula took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anibal Jaunzuria. Corrientes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Hongo FC's goalkeeper Hector Hodei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Argenis. Corrientes's Anibal Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Aimar in the 41st minute of play. Cornelio Piorno spun around in front of the goal 42 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Corrientes's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustin Quinton in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anibal Jaunzuria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Hongo FC fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Hongo FC's Maximo Aimar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Anibal Jaunzuria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Argenis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hodei having to interfere. With his leg Anibal Jaunzuria managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Hongo FC's Cornelio Piorno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Corrientes's Celestino Camerino got a free kick in the 60th minute. Corrientes's Anibal Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Aimar in the 69th minute of play. Cornelio Piorno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Jaunzuria having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Corrientes's zone, Maximo Aimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Jaunzuria came out of the goal and Maximo Aimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Argenis in the 75th minute of play forced Hongo FC's goalkeeper Hector Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Argenis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Hodei was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Clemente Esquipula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Corrientes's Erasmo Argenis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After having played for 83 minutes, Maximo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hongo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anibal Jaunzuria didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, Cornelio Piorno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Jaunzuria. Corrientes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Piorno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hongo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
