After a defensive mix-up in Hongo FC's zone, Leo Rivero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Hodei came out of the goal and Leo Rivero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Hongo FC's Honorato Nuno got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 29 played minutes Florida got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Galeno. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Piorno got free with Eduardo Sidoro in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorato Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Florida's goalkeeper Eduardo Sidoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornelio Piorno. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Aimar in the 47th minute of play forced Florida's goalkeeper Eduardo Sidoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The supporters of Florida booed when Hongo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Quinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes of play, Hongo FC's Agustin Quinton made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Sidoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florida's Eduardo Sidoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Piorno in the 92nd minute of play.
