The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvano Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Lapurdi in the 6th minute of play forced CA River Plate's goalkeeper Ruben Bilbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Jimeno Roldanillo made a precise shot to the right of Ruben Bilbo. CA River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jimeno Roldanillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niceto Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ruben Bilbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimeno Roldanillo struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ruben Bilbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chupala FC. In the 22nd minute Jimeno Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Bilbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Uriel Colas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chupala FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of CA River Plate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chupala FC:s goal. Ruben Bilbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Chupala FC booed when CA River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Niceto Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The crowd rose to their feet as Niceto Abreu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Bilbo. That made the score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. Amadeo Remigio scored 0-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Bilbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Niceto Abreu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Ruben Bilbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chupala FC. If Niceto Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chupala FC's Amadeo Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Bilbo made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Niceto Abreu sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the CA River Plate defense, Niceto Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Bilbo. The CA River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Bilbo should have stopped the shot. After having played for 85 minutes, Niceto Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chupala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Niceto Abreu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruben Bilbo, 0-6. Chupala FC played a much better game than CA River Plate and deserved their victory. The CA River Plate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
