Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erubiel Mero started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Hongo FC booed when Ukukus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Mero, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Gervasio Rutenio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Hodei having to interfere. Gavino Frantzes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Ukukus FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Txordon. Ukukus FC's Alberto Favila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Piorno in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ukukus FC's Amadeo Txordon got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Cornelio Piorno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Favila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Hongo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gervasio Rutenio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Mero in the 26th minute of play forced Hongo FC's goalkeeper Hector Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hongo FC's Hector Hodei got control of the ball when Gervasio Rutenio tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Erubiel Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Hongo FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Aimar. In the 36th minute, Gavino Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Erubiel Mero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximo Aimar made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Ukukus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Clis might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Favila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Clis ran back to his position shaking his head. Ukukus FC's Alberto Favila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Aimar in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Gavino Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hongo FC's Maximo Aimar got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hongo FC booed when Ukukus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Favila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gervasio Rutenio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ukukus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Rutenio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Hodei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Gavino Frantzes made a precise shot to the right of Hector Hodei. Hongo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Gervasio Rutenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Erubiel Mero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hongo FC's Hector Hodei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Hongo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Rutenio came free, but Hector Hodei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Piorno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Alberto Favila made a huge save. Amadeo Txordon hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Aimar in the 94th minute of play forced Ukukus FC's goalkeeper Alberto Favila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Hector Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ukukus FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
