The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Carmelo Evarado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Carmelo Evarado got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Porfirio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Silvestre Cordareo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Godfredo Franco struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Porfirio couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Porfirio got free with Silvestre Cordareo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alonzo Theodore came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Theodore couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Porfirio in the 86th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Silvestre Cordareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Jeronimo Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Cordareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgard Milian was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrial FC's players had a chance to rest. The Barrial FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barrial FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
