Silvestre Cordareo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gilberto Bermudo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Bermudo got free with Silvestre Cordareo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Bermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. The supporters of Vinchina booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Salvadore didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Claris during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Celestino Claris hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Zeledon Sugoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
