When Ivan Abecia came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the ferrocarriloeste fans jumped to their feet. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Quinteros to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play Maravilla's David Castulo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's David Castulo got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ivan Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Abecia struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Enrique Fortun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ferrocarriloeste. Adolfo Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Maravilla booed when ferrocarriloeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Fortun came out of the goal and Erubiel Florian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Fortun having to interfere. After some careless play in the Maravilla defense, Ivan Abecia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Fortun. The Maravilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Fortun should have stopped the shot. Ivan Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Abecia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Enrique Fortun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Pirro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the match was over ferrocarriloeste could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maravilla throughout the match.
