If Cecilio Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Cecilio Tadzio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damiano Santucci. Sporting Cock's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Tadzio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Cecilio Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Damiano Santucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Kaiet was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 20th minute, Eustacio Teodor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnoldo Kaiet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Santucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Eustacio Teodor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Eustacio Teodor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Ekialde was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustacio Teodor made a kick off. Ciro Orlondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Adan Amato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Cock's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia y Esgrima LP the free kick. The supporters of Gimnasia y Esgrima LP booed when Sporting Cock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Arnoldo Kaiet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Kaiet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Orlondo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Ekialde having to make a save. Damiano Santucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Tadzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Cecilio Tadzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Tadzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damiano Santucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldo Kaiet struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Damiano Santucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia y Esgrima LP. In the 83rd minute of the match, Diego Turi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Ekialde was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cecilio Tadzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Gimnasia y Esgrima LP got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Celipe. 90 minutes into the match, Sporting Cock's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Kaiet came free, but Damiano Santucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tiburcio Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Celipe hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Federico Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Astor Pio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Santucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Cock succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gimnasia y Esgrima LP had controlled the match.
