The Rio de la Plata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Belmiro should have stopped the shot. Benedicto Barto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Leonides Arano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio de la Plata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Arano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Geleberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eriberto Geleberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Arano in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Mecanica jorge's Teobaldo Erlantz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Leonides Arano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Denis Belmiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Barto went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute Edgard de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Benedicto Barto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Belmiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 48 minutes into the match, Mecanica jorge's Benedicto Barto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denis Belmiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Arano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgard de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Denis Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Barto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rio de la Plata FC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Rio de la Plata FC's Leonides Arano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Denis Belmiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard de Sena in the 63rd minute. Anibal Tino's late challenge caught a Mecanica jorge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Tino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mecanica jorge booed when Rio de la Plata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard de Sena took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Belmiro. Denis Belmiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Ramiro Eder hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, Luisito Ramond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mecanica jorge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio de la Plata FC the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Mecanica jorge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Geleberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The supporters of Rio de la Plata FC booed when Mecanica jorge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Confesor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Tino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eriberto Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Arano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard de Sena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denis Belmiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgard de Sena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 96th minute. Mecanica jorge played a much better game than Rio de la Plata FC and deserved their victory. The Rio de la Plata FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
