In the 6thth minute of the game Ruben Sansone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores Del Cerro's Gonzalo Urki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 played minutes Defensores Del Cerro got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Telesforo. Bonifacio Luix was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Ciriaco Salbatore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciriaco Salbatore really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 20th minute Ruben Sansone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defensores Del Cerro's Ciriaco Salbatore suffered a concussion after 25 minutes and had to leave the field. Octavio Herauso's late challenge caught a Defensores Del Cerro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Herauso helped the player get up and apologised. Bonifacio Luix was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the match, Defensores Del Cerro's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Oriche came free, but Gonzalo Urki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Iraido during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Defensores Del Cerro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Lunatic Fringe F.C.. Ruben Sansone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gonzalo Urki. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Defensores Del Cerro's Feliberto Cortez got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Cornelio Corderro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornelio Corderro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rigoberto Quiroga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Feliberto Cortez fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores Del Cerro's protests and gave Feliberto Cortez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lunatic Fringe F.C. booed when Defensores Del Cerro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lunatic Fringe F.C.'s Rigoberto Quiroga suffered a sore foot after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 59 minutes of play Defensores Del Cerro's Norberto Iraido was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jesus Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gonzalo Urki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Defensores Del Cerro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Telesforo to maneuver through the defense. Bonifacio Luix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Corderro in the 64th minute of play. If Nestor Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Defensores Del Cerro booed when Lunatic Fringe F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Oriche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Defensores Del Cerro's Nestor Telesforo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 minutes of play, Defensores Del Cerro's Primitivo Brion made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bonifacio Luix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jesus Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Jesus Oriche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunatic Fringe F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Oriche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Nestor Telesforo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores Del Cerro's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Telesforo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifacio Luix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nestor Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domingos Tiniebra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Urki having to interfere. Cornelio Corderro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Luix having to interfere. Lunatic Fringe F.C.'s Bonifacio Luix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Corderro in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Defensores Del Cerro had won after a very even match.
