Damian Dan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benedicto Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Raymond in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Geleberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Xulián Amezqueta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Geleberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Benedicto Barto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mecanica jorge's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Barto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odilón De la Barra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Dan's late challenge caught a Mecanica jorge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Dan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mecanica jorge booed when Torrente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Dan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odilón De la Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Eder in the 31st minute of play. Arsenio Naike hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Xulián Amezqueta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Geleberto was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Torrente's Odilón De la Barra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Barto in the 36th minute of play. Eriberto Geleberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xulián Amezqueta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Xulián Amezqueta got free with Eriberto Geleberto in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenio Naike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eriberto Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrente made a substitution. Octavio Silban replaced Damian Dan. Mecanica jorge's Eriberto Geleberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Mecanica jorge from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Geleberto made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Martin Payero sent off a good shot on target. Eriberto Geleberto made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Samuel Unax sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Unax who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Eriberto Geleberto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Arsenio Naike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torrente's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
