Despot Hodak did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Aquiles Soin 27 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Fassi FC's Aquiles Soin got control of the ball when Sixto Serapio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Despot Hodaks short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Aquiles Soin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gustavo Cresitobalo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fassi FC's zone, Sixto Serapio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Soin came out of the goal and Sixto Serapio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Guadalupe Bolden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carbonero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guadalupe Bolden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Teo Berriotxoa fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fassi FC's protests and gave Teo Berriotxoa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fassi FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Teo Berriotxoa hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Carbonero FC's Alberto Johans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquiles Soin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Despot Hodak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Sesuldo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Sesuldo got free with André Luiz Paiva in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Nofre's late challenge caught a Fassi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
