The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luisito Tono hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s Maximino Gonsalve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Eutor in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Los Funebreros booed when Trabajadores Unidos S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Atauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Trabajadores Unidos S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Salvator. After 23 minutes, Julian Licerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Funebreros and the Trabajadores Unidos S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Los Funebreros getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Julian Licerio hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Julian Licerio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Gonsalve was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Higinio Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Giæver having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Los Funebreros's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Atauri came free, but Kevin Giæver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Delmar Sanduru threw the ball into play from the sideline. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s Emilio Eusko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Epifanio Martinez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Los Funebreros. Everardo Eutor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximino Gonsalve. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Valentin Atauri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Atauri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Giæver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quentin Hyde to strike the kick off in the second half. Higinio Nikola struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Kevin Giæver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabajadores Unidos S.C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Acevedo in the 57th minute of play forced Los Funebreros's goalkeeper Kevin Giæver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Nikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximino Gonsalve made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Everardo Eutor sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Everardo Eutor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Maximino Gonsalve was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quentin Hyde in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Gonsalve saved Trabajadores Unidos S.C. from getting behind. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s Maximino Gonsalve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Trabajadores Unidos S.C. from getting a goal against them. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s Maximino Gonsalve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Hyde in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Trabajadores Unidos S.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Emilio Eusko hit a great ball. Maximino Gonsalve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quentin Hyde, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute Quentin Hyde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gonsalve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Atauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Giæver having to interfere. Trabajadores Unidos S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Dimo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Los Funebreros's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
