The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Bixintxo got free with Eugenio Gotzon in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MZlcdtm's Eustacio Gasteiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Duardo in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Emita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Viviano came free, but Eugenio Gotzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Duardo was the one to do the kick off. MZlcdtm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emita FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, MZlcdtm's Cosme Bixintxo got a free kick in the 60th minute. MZlcdtm's Eustacio Gasteiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save MZlcdtm from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Bixintxo in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Gotzon saved Emita FC from getting behind. A collision led to MZlcdtm getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Maximino Ostots hit a great ball. Rigoberto Quilino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gaston Viviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emita FC's Eugenio Gotzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Bixintxo in the 77th minute of play. Eugenio Gotzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Bixintxo in the 88th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Cosme Bixintxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Gotzon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 93rd match minute, MZlcdtm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Ralondo to maneuver through the defense. When Erasmo Duardo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Emita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Duardo couldn't finish the play. The Emita FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Emita FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
