Justo Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Olando in the 10th minute. Falo Duro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Argentina's Paulo Mendiko got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Domingo Arnalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Falo Duro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eloy Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justo Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Gilesindo in the 27th minute of the match. Martin Olando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Justo Rey made a huge save. Justo Rey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Gilesindo went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, Patria Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Mendiko came free, but Falo Duro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Olando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Patria Argentina's zone, Eloy Figueroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falo Duro came out of the goal and Eloy Figueroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Nicasio Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Nicasio Lucila got a free kick in the 59th minute. Justo Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Gilesindo in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Paulo Mendiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falo Duro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Cristobal Gilesindo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patria Argentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Gilesindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
