Feliciano Goiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristo Garikoitz having to make a save. If Faustino Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Clodio in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Garikoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coiruro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonathan Gelmiro was slow to take the kick. During this time River plate's players had a chance to rest. The corner led River plate's Jonathan Gelmiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristo Garikoitz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Faustino Jokin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coiruro's Cristo Garikoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. River plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Jokin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Silvestre Clodio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Coiruro's Cristo Garikoitz. Cristo Garikoitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristo Garikoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Jokin in the 79th minute of play. Cristo Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Cristo Garikoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Jokin went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Coiruro's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Jokin came free, but Cristo Garikoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Coiruro's zone, Jonathan Gelmiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Garikoitz came out of the goal and Jonathan Gelmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River plate's Silvestre Clodio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristo Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that River plate were the better team. River plate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
