The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Michael Branch notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Humildad y Talento FC's Leopoldo Balasi. Leopoldo Balasi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute of the match Vicente Cordaryal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltasar Mon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baltasar Mon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Gonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chaleco AFC booed when Humildad y Talento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Balasi made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Hermengildo Medero sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Abaurre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Humildad y Talento FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaleco AFC the free kick. Rodolfo Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Leonardo Quintin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Siro Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Beltran hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Balasi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermengildo Medero in the 43rd minute. Michael Branch scored 3-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Balasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Medero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Alfredo Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaleco AFC made a substitution. Ulises Acuña replaced Artemio Lleir. Chaleco AFC's Michael Branch got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chaleco AFC's Jacobo Gervaso was substituted for Hermengildo Medero. In the 80th minute Jacobo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Branch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Ledesma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Mon having to interfere. In the 88th minute Siro Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Balasi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacobo Gervaso went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Chaleco AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
