Rene Ferman helped the player get up and apologised. Rene Ferman hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes, Octavian Brezoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the AC Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Octavian Brezoi got a free kick in the 19th minute. Javier Suárez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Arturo Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Ferman in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Javier Suárez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Suárez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Matias Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Arturo Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matias Indar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eustaquio Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Rene Ferman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Suárez in the 48th minute of the match.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naum Novoselski couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, Naum Novoselski notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AC Milan's Eustaquio Jobo. Eustaquio Jobo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Octavian Brezoi got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Boca Juniors's Arturo Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Suárez in the 86th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC Milan fully deserved thier win.
