Natalio Camerino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Argina in the 45th minute of play. When Raul Romero fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Game Theory Optimal's protests and gave Raul Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Leandro Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madariaga f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Rosalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Camerino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Prudencio Deunoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Telmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Prudencio Deunoro came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Game Theory Optimal's Wilfredo Nafarroa. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Nafarroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Erasmo Hartz put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd minute, one of Madariaga f.c.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Madariaga f.c.. Isaias Rik shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Marciano Jusepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Camerino having to make a save. Wilfredo Nafarroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Prudencio Deunoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Leandro Rosalio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madariaga f.c. and the Game Theory Optimal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Madariaga f.c.'s Leandro Rosalio got a free kick in the 75th minute. Prudencio Deunoro came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Game Theory Optimal's Wilfredo Nafarroa. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Nafarroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 89th minute Oscar Telmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Deunoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Madariaga f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Damian Normando came free, but Prudencio Deunoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Nafarroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Prudencio Deunoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
