Niceto Gelmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Salbatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Quentin in the 6th minute of play forced Nasaló's goalkeeper Niceto Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Salbatore hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nasaló's zone, Lorenzo Nalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Gelmiro came out of the goal and Lorenzo Nalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niceto Gelmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Sagrario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Nasaló's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Quentin came free, but Niceto Gelmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Juan Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bartolo Sindo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Nicanor Vela took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Niceto Gelmiro. Nasaló's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lorenzo Nalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Gelmiro having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Pilón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Maju came free, but Laureano Mundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Aureliano Oton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Laureano Mundo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niceto Gelmiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Salbatore in the 39th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Salbatore to strike the kick off in the second half. 1-3 became the score in the 54th minute when Enrique Sagrario elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Nasaló booed when Pilón AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Quentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pilón AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rigoberto Quentin hit a great ball. Niceto Gelmiro made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Enrique Sagrario sent off a good shot on target. When Bartolo Maju fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nasaló's protests and gave Bartolo Maju a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Nasaló got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Maju. After having played for 68 minutes, Bartolo Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nasaló's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Maju was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Gelmiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Sagrario in the 71st minute. Enrique Sagrario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Niceto Gelmiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Salbatore in the 82nd minute of play forced Nasaló's goalkeeper Niceto Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nasaló's Aureliano Oton got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Salbatore in the 85th minute of play forced Nasaló's goalkeeper Niceto Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Quentin hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Niceto Gelmiro was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Lorenzo Nalo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Nalo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. The Pilón AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pilón AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
