Marcial Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Enrique Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Sein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Sein in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Arias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Arias having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Eusebio Felipillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tomy FC's Simon Montrelle got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Eusebio Felipillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tomy FC's Marcial Arias. Marcial Arias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Colón made a substitution. Ildefonso Bitxintxo replaced Romulo Caton. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Ibañez to make the kick off.
