RACING1967's Tiburcio Tebaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Tiburcio Tebaldo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Rodolfo Quin charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Quin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to TrOkUrA F.C getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rodolfo Quin hit a great ball. The supporters of RACING1967 booed when TrOkUrA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Oroitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. TrOkUrA F.C's Abelardo Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Mikelats in the 42nd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Bertran to make the kick off. With his leg Abelardo Suarez managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when RACING1967's Juan Mikelats fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sergio Pio's late challenge caught a RACING1967's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Pio helped the player get up and apologised. Abelardo Suarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Gaizko in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Bertran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Ourente was relentless in the 58th minute of the game.
