The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of RACING1967 booed when Barrancas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sufi Candemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. RACING1967's Astor Ourente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save RACING1967 from getting a goal against them. Santiago Txanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Astor Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Barrancas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Txanton to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Santiago Txanton notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of RACING1967's Astor Ourente. Astor Ourente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
