Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Timmy Jakobsson kicked off to start the match. Orlando Hanot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Zé Augusto de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Txanton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ceferino Niva firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 10th match minute, Barrancas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrancas's goalkeeper Zé Augusto de Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Barrancas got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Senen. Ceferino Niva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Osvaldo Fanuco put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Augusto de Queirós. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Bihar in the 23rd minute of play forced Barrancas's goalkeeper Zé Augusto de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Barrancas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Silverio Escobar hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Fanuco in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto de Queirós saved Barrancas from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Constantino Fero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Racing Club's Osvaldo Fanuco in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrancas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th minute Osvaldo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Fanuco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Isidro Bihar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zé Augusto de Queirós was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Osvaldo Fanuco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Fanuco in the 57th minute of play forced Barrancas's goalkeeper Zé Augusto de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrancas's Silverio Escobar got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Silverio Escobar off the ground. Racing Club made a substitution. Guillermo Sansone replaced Luis Frascuelo. After a rather tough play, Barrancas's Silverio Escobar got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 70 minutes, Osvaldo Fanuco made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Barrancas's Zé Augusto de Queirós tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidro Bihar got free with Zé Augusto de Queirós in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 83 in the game by Osvaldo Fanuco from a close distance when the talented Zé Augusto de Queirós managed to make a qualified save. Barrancas's players were relieved. In the 87th minute, Osvaldo Fanuco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Augusto de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Osvaldo Fanuco sent off a good shot on target. Racing Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
